Seattle Sounders coach Brian Schmetzer said that he wants improvement in his team.

He stated that he has been disappointed with the performance of his team so far and that they need to be playing better than that.

He admitted however that the team seems to be strong at the back, but it is on the attacking front that he wants to see more improvement. He said that his players are not passing the ball quick enough and this is giving time to the opposing team to organize themselves and defend.

Brian Schmetzer said that he wants to see more movement from his offensive players off the ball so that they can open the opposition defence.

He believes that there is also the fact that there are some new players that have come into the team during the close season and that it will take some time before they get acquainted with each other.

The coach said that he wants them to be more offensive and to create more opportunities. He stated that this is what has been lacking during the first couple of games and that he wants to see more improvement on this front.

The coach stated that the team should be over reliant on Clint Dempsey as the player will need some time to get back to his best. Indeed the midfielder has just been back in the team after treatment for irregular heartbeat, and he will need some matches before getting back to his best level.

Brian Schmetzer said that there is no more room for errors and that they will need to make sure that they are ready for their next game. He stated that he would be putting greater emphasis on attack during the training sessions and he is expecting improvement in the next games.
